The whole family is invited to come ride the Downeast Scenic Railroad Pumpkin Train on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19 and 20. Trains will depart at 10 am, 12:30 pm and 3 pm. For this special one-hour train trip, each child will receive a free pumpkin and pumpkin decorating stickers with the purchase of a child’s train ticket. Trains depart from the boarding platform at 245 Main St. in Ellsworth. Tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for seniors and active military and $9 for children (age 12 and under). Reservations are suggested and can be made by visiting www.downeastscenicrail.org or calling (866) 449-RAIL (7245).
