Roger Angell Day in Brooklin

Friend Memorial Library has designated Sat, Aug 8, as Roger Angell Day in celebration of his 100th birthday. The author, essayist and The New Yorker magazine baseball reporter and fiction editor has been a longtime summer resident of Brooklin.  The event will be held outside on the library grounds from 10:45 am to 11:30 am. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks will be required. The schedule will include live music, flying balloons, a parade of decorated cars and the Brooklin fire engine.  For more information, visit the library’s website, Friendml.org.
