Thursday, Dec. 3, will be the 24th annual Schoodic Holiday Family Shopping Evening in Winter Harbor.
The one night only event begins with a chili supper sponsored by The Acadian Community Woman’s Club at the Masonic Lodge. The dinner, which runs from 4:30 to 6 p.m., is $7 for adults, $4 for children under 10 and free for children under 2. The Holiday Craft Fair and Chinese Auction sponsored by the Peninsula School will be held in the Winter Harbor Town Gym from 4-8 p.m.
The Winter Harbor Public Library will hold a holiday open house from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Each child will receive a free book. There will be a reading of a holiday story at 6 p.m. followed by a sing-along with the children. Artist Becky O’Keefe will have a display of original watercolors and cards in The Maine Room at the library. Many of the local businesses offer sale items and refreshments that evening.
