Set your Clocks for the Annual Early Bird Sale!

Set your alarm clocks for early morning Saturday November 7^th, Ellsworth’s Annual Early Bird Sale starts at 6am!  Started by Reny’s as a way to beat the Black Friday big box store sales and keep holiday shopping local, all towns with a Reny’s have participated on the first Saturday of November for many years.  The Ellsworth Chamber has taken on the event as one of its annual offerings to members by coordinating with local businesses, putting together a shopping list of participants and their specials and offering a drawing for “Chamber Bucks” as part of the special day.

Each year businesses come up with their own ideas for specials, all day shopper coupons, or store events to make it a fun day of shopping in Ellsworth and surrounding towns.  Some retailers open at their regular time, but offer “Late Bird” sales to shoppers who have been to all the early open locations first.

“We see raffle tickets from as far away as Waterville in our Chamber Bucks drawing bags” says Gretchen Wilson Community Manager of the Ellsworth Area Chamber. “We know people put this date on their calendar just by the number of phone inquiries we get.”
