Spaghetti Dinner Benefit in Surry

A benefit spaghetti dinner to support Corinne and Emery Cowan will take place on Friday, Dec. 11, at 6 p.m. at the Surry Grange Hall.
The Cowans, a Surry couple of long standing, are trying to weather a very hard time brought on by serious medical crises, advancing years and a home with a porous roof and a severely compromised septic system. Corinne, who worked for many years at the front desk at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, is currently receiving hospice care.
Friends and neighbors are supporting the couple as they seek ways to restore their home to a livable condition so they can stay in the surroundings they love, in the town they love and where they are loved in return. The dinner has no admission fee, but those attending are asked to contribute as generously as they can. For more information, call Jane Smith at 667-8454.
