The Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce in celebration of the first day of spring is promoting” $20.00 on the 20^th”;  spend twenty dollars shopping locally on Friday the twentieth of March.  It has been a record setting winter here in downeast Maine.  Not only have we had a lot of snow and cold temperatures but many businesses have had to close several times or had  fewer customers due to the severe weather.  Well spring is here, at least on the calendar!  Friday March 20^th, many area businesses will be offering specials, sales and fun events.  Businesses are offering up everything from tulips to oil changes, cat food to hair products.  The list of 30 participating stores and businesses have something for everyone!  So bring some spring into your life, your home, or just get an errand done by shopping locally with “$20.00 on the 20^th”
