Friend & Friend is pleased to announce this year’s Sunrise Trail Charity Ride & BBQ! This event is a fundraiser for the Sunrise Trail Coalition. Focusing on safety, education, and the development of an integrated on- and off-road four-season, shared-use trail system this organization promotes outdoor recreation, health and fitness, and economic development.We will have free BBQ for anyone that signs up for the ride, as well as many different items to raffle off!! Raffle tickets will be on sale at the BBQ!!
The Down East Sunrise Trail (DEST) takes riders off-road on a journey along the entire Downeast coastal area. Stunning views, wildlife-watching opportunties, and interesting side trips are plentiful for the adventurous. Its compacted gravel surface follows an old railroad bed from Ellsworth to Ayers Junction. At 85 miles and growing, the DEST is the longest off-road section of the East Coast Greenway.
Tickets: $10 for each driver, $5 for each passenger.
Tickets will include BBQ for all riders. There will also be a raffle and giveaways on the day of the event. Our goal is to beat our previous record and raise $4,000!

Registration will take place at our Ellsworth Friend & Friend location, register here online, or when you arrive at Cable Pool Park!!
We will meet in the middle at Cherryfield’s Trailside Cable pool/rest area for the BBQ and giveaways!
You can ride in from anywhere on the trail, bring your friends!
Children under 10 eat free, we ask that you please register anyone over
10 years of age. The BBQ will start at noon. Purchase your ticket online by
clicking here and bring your printed order receipt on the day of the ride to register.
