Healthy Acadia & University of Maine at Machias invite you to don your wildest sweater or cardigan for our first annual, “Tacky Sweater” New Year’s Eve Fun Run Thurs Dec 31st! Dig out your tackiest sweater & join runners & walkers from around Washington County & beyond for the “Tacky Sweater” Fun Run. This non‐competitive event is all about having a great time with family & friends, & maybe burning off a few holiday calories! You can run, walk, skip, crawl, even dance to the finish line if you like.
The approximately 2.3-mile Fun Run will begin at 1pm at the University of Maine at Machias (UMM) Fitness Center. The course will lead participants along the streets of downtown Machias and a short stretch of the Sunrise Trail to the finish line at Station 1989 on Main Street, across from Helen’s Restaurant.
