Maine’s annual Team Hope Walk for the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) is taking place, rain or shine, on Sunday, Oct 14, at Ellsworth High School. Beginning at 11 am, there is a three-mile fun-walk taking place on the paved Ellsworth trail located in front of the high school. Registration opens at 9:30. From 9:30 on, the public is invited to enjoy refreshments, face painting for kids, an information table, T-shirts, music and a big Chinese Auction with many items donated by community merchants and friends.
To register yourself or a team, or make a donation online, go to hdsa.org/thwmaine. Walkers may also bring checks made out to HDSA, Team Hope Maine. The cut-off date for donations is Dec. 31, 2018. The funds raised will help HDSA to provide services for families, research, education and advocacy.
