Healthy Acadia’s Drug Free Communities Initiative, Healthy Island Project and the Stonington Opera House invite community members to participate in a free showing of the award-winning documentary “The Hungry Heart,” which focuses on the hidden world of prescription drug addiction, and the successes and challenges of recovery.  This happens on Tuesday, Jan 19, at 5 pm at the Stonington Opera House.

The event is open and free to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Following the film, state Rep. Walter Kumiega (D-Deer Isle) will facilitate a community discussion where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss topics of interest and hear about resources available in our local communities.
