A program called “The Magic of Fireflies” will be presented on Thursday, July 9, at 7:30 at Parker Ridge Senior Living Community in Blue Hill. Learn to decipher the blinking codes of flirting fireflies during a slide presentation by naturalist Lynn Havsall on the wonders of lightning bugs. At the end of the program, venture outside to see them up close in action. Bring a butterfly net and mason jar. This program is sponsored by Downeast Audubon.
