June 9, 2015 @ 5:30 pm

Dr. Joan MacCracken will be at Southwest Harbor Public Library to discuss her book, “The Winter House” on Tuesday, June 9, at 5:30 pm. “The Winter House” is set in an imaginary village in Maine. Four older women all find themselves single and living alone. Rather than moving in with their children or looking for another partner they decide to move in together for one long, cold Maine winter. Through the characters, their family members and the people in their community, MacCracken explores many important and relevant personal and social issues and the idea of “aging in place.”
Books will be available for sale and signing. For more information, call the library at 244-7065.
