The Ellsworth Public Library is hosting a 200th anniversary celebration of the Tisdale House on Thursday, Aug 17. The event will include a youth art show at 4 pm in the boat room, cake and punch with musical accompaniment at 5 pm and a presentation by Maine State Historian Earle Shettleworth at 6 pm on the history and architectural significance of the Tisdale House.
