“Understanding the Night Sky” Talk in Deer Isle

On Monday, Aug 1, at 8:30 pm, there will be a talk “Understanding the Night Sky” at Mariners Memorial Park in Deer Isle. Join navigator, historian and retired professor Davida Kellogg for an orientation to the night sky with special attention to stars and other bodies used in celestial navigation. All ages welcome for this program sponsored by the Island Heritage Trust. Bring a flashlight, warm clothes. There is a $5 suggested donation. For more information, call 348-2455.
