Volunteers are needed to help plant 75 resistant seedlings from the American Chestnut Foundation in the Great Pond Mountain Wildlands in Orland Sat May 16th. Holes will be pre-dug; volunteers just need to show up with work gloves & shovel to help plant, cage & water the trees. Plans are to meet at the South Gate on Route 1 (near the junction of Route 176) at 9 a.m. Call Brian at 812-2044 or e-mail [email protected] for info.
