On Saturday, July 15 St. Andrew Lutheran Church will be hosting a community yard sale from 8 to 1 pm. All proceeds will go to the congregation’s Good Samaritan Fund. Purchases will be by donation. (That is, items will not be individually priced.)
This past year the Good Sam Fund provided:
Heating oil for those without;
Help purchasing a new furnace for a family without heat;
Several stays at the Colonial Inn for those in need of emergency shelter;
Support for a woman fleeing a domestic violence situation;
Rent assistance for several people dealing with health issues and facing eviction.
