Friends in Action will host a blueberry/ice cream social on Wednesday, Aug 22, from 11 to noon in the senior café at the Moore Community Center in Ellsworth.  All are welcome to bring their favorite blueberry creation. Ice cream sundae fixings will be supplied. Admission is by donation.  For more information, call 664-6016.

The Ellsworth Concert Band performs on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm throughout August at the gazebo at the Union River Harbor Park. There are plenty of picnic tables for sitting or you can bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on the grass. Concert rehearsals will run before each performance, at 6 pm.
