The City of Ellsworth is participating in this year's Relay for Life.  To help support their team, the Ellsworth Public Library will be selling feet for $1 each.  If you would like to purchase a foot, please ask a librarian!

The Blue Hill Memorial Day observance begins at 10 am by the American Legion Hall on Mon May 27th. From the hall, the parade will proceed down Main Street, stopping at the bridge for a brief ceremony. From there, the parade will go to the Seaside Cemetery.

A Memorial Day ceremony is scheduled for 10 am at Lamoine’s Veterans Memorial at the Town Hall on Mon May 27.   Taking part in the ceremony will be Charles “Linwood” Brann, a Korean War veteran who just went on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

Hancock’s Memorial Day parade is scheduled for 10 am on Mon May 27. It will begin at the Hancock Woman’s Club, across from the post office. Line-up is at 9:30.  The parade will go down Route 1 to the gazebo where, afterward, there will be a speaker and small ceremony.

Addison’s Memorial Day activities begin at 10 am on Monday, May 27, at the Mayhew Library on Water Street. The Bar Harbor Garden Club will be holding a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 27, at 11 am at the Blue Star Memorial Marker. The marker is located 1/3 of a mile from the head of Mount Desert Island on Route 3. The public, especially veterans, are invited and encouraged to attend.

There will be a Memorial Day observance at the Surry Memorial Park at 1 pm on Mon May 27. The park is located at the junction of the Surry Road and the North Bend Road.
