The Unitarian Universalist Church of Ellsworth is holding a raffle with a grand prize of Dinner for Two Anywhere in the World.  The winner will be drawn Sun Sept 8.  Raffle tickets are $20 each and only 1,000 will be sold.  Tickets may be purchased at Book Stacks in Bucksport or call 274-0177.

RecoveryCorps Coaches are needed for the 2019-2020 service year.  The service term begins on Sun Sept 15 and Wed Oct 16 in Aroostook, Hancock, Kennebec, Knox, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Waldo and Washington counties.  Recovery coaches act as personal guides and mentors for others seeking recovery from substance use. Stop by the YWCA MDI at 36 Mount Desert St in Bar Harbor every Tuesday through Aug 27, from 10 to noon, and buy some Y pies, baked from scratch by YWCA MDI volunteers. Proceeds benefit important YWCA programs. For more information, call 288-5008.

The Mount Desert Festival of Chamber Music is presenting its 56th season of summer concerts at the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor.
