An Easter Egg Hunt and Activities are planned for Sat Apr 9 from 10 to noon at the Franklin Veterans Club. Cost is $5 per child, free for adults. Proceeds go towards the Community Closet and the Phillip Carter Reading Foundation.

On Saturday, April 9, at 12:30 p.m., the Brooksville Town House will be the site of a workshop to create “pysanky,” or Ukrainian decorated eggs. 100 percent of donations received will be sent to benefit refugees from Ukraine. Because the technique requires focused concentration, the materials are fragile and melted beeswax is involved, this workshop is not suitable for young children. This coming Saturday, April 9th, the Searsport United Methodist Church is holding another of their popular Take Out Turkey Dinners! Pick up dinners from 4 to 6 at the church on Main Street. In Searsport, the Carver Memorial Library Book Club meets in the afternoon on the second Tuesday of each month. Their next meeting takes place Tuesday, April 12th, 1pm inside Union Hall which is located at 3 Reservoir Street in Searsport.
