The Senior Class of Searsport District High School is holding a fundraising "Festival of Trees" Sat. Dec 4th 8am-7pm and Sun. Dec 5th 9am-4pm in the high school cafetorium. There will be food, whole pies and cheesecakes for sale, trees and a kids craft table. All proceeds benefit the Class of '22's cap and gown fund and Senior Class Trip.

The INSPIRE Recovery Center on Church Street in Ellsworth, along with Sunrise Opportunities, is hosting a free weekly parenting in recovery support group at the center each Tuesday evening from 6 to 7pm. The free group offers the opportunity for parents to share stories, resources, & parenting information. People may meet in person, or join virtually. Ellsworth Community Music Institute (ECMI) offers its next live Midday Concert @ 1:00 on December 10. The concert will be performed by the Gypsy Jazz trio, Mes Amis. The concert will be held in person in the Moore Community Center Theater at 125 State Street in Ellsworth, Maine. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the audience will be limited to 50 members and seats will be filled first come, first served. Masks will be required of all attendees, regardless of vaccination status.

Cherryfield’s second annual Christmas Light Parade happens December 11th, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The parade starts on Stillwater Avenue and continues through town and across the bridge, ending at the intersection of River Road and North Street.
