Take Out Turkey Dinner in Searsport
This Saturday the 9th, in conjunction with Fling Into Fall, the Searsport United Methodist Church is holding another of their popular Take Out Turkey Dinners! Pick up dinners from 4 to 5:30 at the church on Main Street. Cost is $10 per meal which is a full *Thanksgiving Style* turkey dinner, complete with homemade pies! All meals are "to go," with no reservations are necessary.

The Penobscot United Methodist Church invites you to their Harvest Supper, featuring turkey and all the fixins. Two seatings on Saturday October 9th, at 5pm and again at 6:15. Food will be served buffet style with takeout meals available as well.

The Waltham-Eastbrook Youth Association is holding turkey shoots every Sunday in October from 10 to noon at the shooting range off Route 200 in Waltham. Shooting is at paper targets, with frozen turkeys going to the winner of each of the 15 events. Proceeds go to the Association’s local scholarship fund. For more info, call 584-3000.

The Jonathan Fisher House in Blue Hill will host an outdoor celebration of autumn at the house on Sunday (10/10) from noon to 2pm. Along with other treats, pear & apple cider will be pressed on-site from the trees planted by Jonathan Fisher as early as 1805. The event is free, but donations are welcome. The Franklin Library is holding a fundraising Halloween Raffle of three Stephen King novels.
