Trunk or Treat at DE Family YMCA-Date change
The DE Family YMCA in Ellsworth is hosting Star 97.7's Trunk or Treat again this year, on Sun October 31st in the Y's parking lot. With a limit of 20 tricked out vehicles, you need to sign up your business soon! Car/Trunk Setup will be from 2 to 3. Trunk or Treat begins at 3 and goes to 5pm. To sign up, contact Associate Executive Director, Jean Wood, at the Y at 667-3086.

Everybody Eats in Ellsworth
The free meal service, "Everybody Eats" is open every Monday afternoon for take-out only. It’s located at St. Dunstan’s Church on State St. in Ellsworth, and the operating hours are 2:30 to 4 PM each Monday.

The Northeast Harbor Library has a special book sale room located in their basement. All kinds of books, audios, and DVDs and a “collector’s shelf” for all ages. Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-5 p.m.

All are welcome at “The Joys of Thrift” to share ideas on how to cut costs, increase savings, repurpose, live simply and make living below your means a joyful way of life. The Emmaus Homeless Shelter in Ellsworth is holding their annual Thanksgiving Dinner Drive. Last year, they served 300 individuals with free Thanksgiving food boxes filled with turkey and all the fixins! If you'd like to donate the cost of a food box, send a $20 donation to: Emmaus Homeless Shelter, PO Box 811, Ellsworth, ME 04605. Deadline is November 17th. Families in need of assistance may call the shelter at 667-3962.

Registration's open!! The DE Family YMCA's Veterans' Remembrance 4 Miler is back, taking place Sunday November 7th with a 9:00am start time. Walkers and runners are welcome, with a portion of the $20 registration fee to benefit Maine Veteran's project and The Summit project . To register, just go to: def ymca - dot - org. The Ellsworth Elks Lodge #2743 invites all veterans to a FREE day of meals. Thursday, November 11th, enjoy a free breakfast from 6 to 9am, lunch from 11 to 2 and a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7. The lodge is located at 37 High Street in Ellsworth and no reservations are required.

The Ellsworth Lioness Club is holding a Thanksgiving Basket Raffle where you can win a complete Thanksgiving Dinner for 6! Plus, the Lioness Club will be donating a second Turkey Dinner to a local family in need. Tickets are $2 each, or 3 for $5. Drawing is Tuesday, November 16th.
