Breakfast in Brooksville
Come join in for breakfast at the Brooksville Community Center on Sat June 19 from 7 to 9:30 am. You can either sit inside or take it home to eat in the comfort of your own home. Note: Please follow Maine CDC guidelines concerning masking while attending. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. All proceeds will go toward rebuilding the porch and repairing the roof.

The Unitarian Church of Ellsworth will hold a yard sale on Sat, June 19, from 8 – 2 pm, in the parking lot at Junction Tech Services, 507 Washington Junction Rd, Hancock. The next “by reservation only” take out dinner sponsored by the Kindness Programs of Searsport takes place Saturday June 19th at the First Congregational Church of Searsport! This Father’s Day menu includes bbq pulled pork, Mac n Cheese, homemade baked beans, Corn Bread, Potato Salad and Chocolate Layer Cake. Pick up is 3:30 to 5:00 on June 19th. The American Red Cross is experiencing a severe blood shortage, due in large part to the pandemic. A typically high number of traumas and emergency room visits, as well as overdoses and resulting transplants, have caused blood supplies to plummet. The next Red Cross Blood Drive in Hancock County takes place Tuesday, June 22nd from noon to 6 at the Ellsworth Elks Lodge, located at 317 High Street. The Ellsworth Hometown Festival happens Saturday (6/26) at the Maine Coast Mall. Featured this year: a petting zoo, craft fair, kids’ activities, water safety from the Maine Game Wardens, food drive for the Emmaus Shelter, the Hancock County Sheriff’s children’s retina scan, and the annual recipe contest – featuring strawberries.
