The Brooklin Independence Day parade happens on Monday, July 5th, beginning at 10 am, and stepping off from the old Odd Fellows Hall. And to warm up the crowd, the Brooklin Town Band starts up the music at 9:15 in front of the Friend Memorial Library.

Birdhouse Workshop in Blue Hill

On Friday, July 9, at 10 a.m., join interns from the Holbrook Island Sanctuary in the Blue Hill Public Library parking lot as they teach you how to make a birdhouse for black-capped chickadees. And you can take your birdhouse home with you. The workshop is free and materials will be provided, but space is limited. Sign up through the library’s online calendar at bhpl.net.
