Veteran’s Benefit in Bar Harbor
Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf in Bar Harbor is hosting a veteran’s benefit “Putting for Patriots” now through Mon May 31. Donations will be accepted plus Pirate’s Cove will contribute a percentage of their sales over Memorial Day Weekend. For more information, visit their Facebook page.

This Friday (5/14) at the Franklin Veterans Club, Teddy’s American Chop Suey is the 8-dollar meal, with dinner served starting at 5pm. Takeout is available. And starting Friday night at 7, it’s Karaoke Night with Kevin and Kim. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

Sullivan’s Earth Day Cleanup of Route 1 is happening Saturday, May 15th. Volunteers will be provided with equipment for picking up debris, safety vests, and road signs... along with a cookout for those who volunteer a few hours. The Age Friendly Sullivan group is holding its 3rd annual "Sullivan Shines" Schoodic Byway Cleanup on Saturday May 15th from 8 to noon. Clean up is a 6 mile stretch of Route 1 from Sullivan bridge to Gouldsboro. Volunteers are provided safety vests, pick-up tools and a thank you cook out! The Jonesboro Grange invites you to the Paper Towel Pileup to benefit the chemo patients at Sarah’s House of Maine in Holden. For every roll of paper towels you donate, you get an entry into a drawing for a peck of fresh clams.
