Cookbooks for Sale in Jonesport
The Peabody Library in Jonesport has sent their “Taste of Downeast” cookbook to the printers, and copies will be available for pickup starting Saturday (5/1). Each cookbook is $10, and features recipes from local home cooks. You can still order yours by the library at 497-3003.

Saturday (5/1) is Surry Clean-up Day, sponsored by the Surry Community Improvement Association. Meet for supplies at the elementary school at 8 am, and join your neighbors in sprucing up the town till noon. Volunteers get free Pugnuts gift cards. For information, call 460-1959.

The Kindness Programs of Searsport is holding an early Mother’s Day Take Out meal on Saturday, May 1st. Menu includes your choice of chicken or shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, Caprese salad, bread sticks and blueberry bread pudding. Pick up is Saturday May 1st from 3:30 to 5 at the First Congregational Church of Searsport. Reservations only by Thursday, April 29th by calling Sandy Otis Anderson at 548-6530. There is no cost for this meal, however, donations are cheerfully accepted.

The Searsport United Methodist Church is holding its monthly Take Out Turkey Dinner Saturday, May 8th from 4 to 6 at the church on Main Street. Cost is $10 per meal which is a full Take Out *Thanksgiving Style* turkey dinner, complete with homemade pies! All meals are "to go," but no reservations are necessary.

Kids in grades K-3 are invited to join Healthy Acadia and the Ellsworth Public Library for their Mindfulness and Movement Program!
