The Blue Hill Heritage Trust is hosting a virtual event for homeschoolers and remote learners ages 5-12 on Fri Jan 22 from 11 to noon. This is a virtual Whalemobile experience. Cynde McInnis from The Whale Mobile will do an initial presentation about whales, and then students will see the whale inflate and go inside. Call 374-5118 to pre-register for this program. The Grand in Ellsworth is holding a pop-up Popcorn Sale outside on the sidewalk in front of The Grand THIS Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4. Cost is $5a bag with all proceeds to benefit the Grand's operations.

Ellsworth Community Music Institute (ECMI) welcomes concert lovers back with a new series of virtual midday concerts. The second concert in the series is scheduled for Monday, Jan 25, at 1 pm. The Mount Desert Island Historical Society’s 10th annual Baked Bean Supper will take place online on Thursday, Jan 28, at 6 pm.
