The Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library are hosting an ongoing book sale inside the library on the main floor. The sale is by donation - typical donations are 50 cents for paperbacks and one dollar for hardcover books - what a deal! Due to limited change, they ask that you please bring small bills and change.

On Tues Nov 10 at 11 am, join Healthy Acadia for Cooking Matters: Holiday Edition, a free virtual cooking and nutrition class to help you learn the skills to prepare healthy, tasty, low-cost meals at home. There will be live cooking demonstrations and a free bag of groceries each week. Classes will be held virtually via Zoom. Grocery pickup will take place weekly at the Ellsworth Public Library. The First Congregational Church of Cherryfield is having a brown bag baked bean takeout dinner on Wednesday, Nov 11. Pick-up will be between 3:30 and 5 pm. Tickets will go on sale at 3:15 at the church, which is located at 12 River Road. Dinners are $20 per brown bag, serving two, and will need to be reheated at home.
