Hospice Volunteers Zoom Seminars
Through September 9th, Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County is holding a series of FREE online Wednesday educational seminars. They take place from noon to 1 and are available through the Zoom platform. Schoodic Arts for All in Winter Harbor presents a live stream of the band "Josephine Country" in the last Coffeehouse of the Month on Friday, August 28th starting at 7pm. This is traditional acoustic music from Ireland, Appalachia, Canada and beyond. You can connect to this concert via the Schoodic Arts for All Facebook page. Once there, everyone is encouraged to make comments and show hand clapping emojis just to let the band know that you're there!

The Purple Iris & Angel Advocates are hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tues Sept 29 from 8 to 1 pm at the Brewer Auditorium, 318 Wilson Street. The SPCA of Hancock County is holding another “Save Our Shelter” Bottle Drive! It's taking place on Saturday, August 29th from 9 to noon with volunteers collecting returnables at several locations. These include the SPCA's shelter on Rte 3 in Trenton, the Franklin Veteran's Club, the Twilight Motel in Ellsworth, Surry General Store and Machias Savings Bank in Bar Harbor. Franklin Veterans Club is hosting an outdoor concert featuring Banned from Eden on Sat Aug 29 from 4 to 8 pm. The cover charge is $10 with a limit of 100 guests.
