Shark Storytime in Blue Hill
It’s Shark Storytime with Charlie the Shark, Friday, August 25th at the Blue Hill Library. Charlie is with the Shaw Institute and loves to read books about the ocean to kids and teach them why caring about our oceans is important. Join them for a fun shark-themed story, songs and a craft, beginning at 10:30, August 25th, and the Blue Hill Library.

A Pot Roast Supper is happening at the First Congregational Church of Ellsworth, 2 Church Street, behind the police station. This Saturday, August 26th from 5:00 to 6:30 pm A pot roast supper with mashed potatoes, green beans, glazed carrots, Caesar salad, roll, coffee, tea or lemonade and homemade pie all for $10.00. Yard Sale in Ellsworth

"The Downeast Saxophone Quartet" will perform on Sunday, September 10th at 3:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Cherryfield Academy Community Center. A chairlift is available if needed. The City of Ellsworth is working to raise awareness for Cans for Kids, a donations-funded initiative to help local children in need. Donate your cans and bottles at the City Transfer Station or contact the General Assistance Office to coordinate a donation at City Hall. Proceeds go to the Emergency Assistance Fund, which supports the Backpacks for Kids and Holiday Gifts programs.
