A Pot Roast Supper is happening at the First Congregational Church of Ellsworth,  2 Church Street, behind the police station.  This Saturday, August 26th from 5:00 to 6:30 pm  A pot roast supper with mashed potatoes, green beans, glazed carrots, Caesar salad, roll, coffee, tea or lemonade and homemade pie all for $10.00.  The church is handicap accessible from the state street entrance.  For more information please call Lois at 207-669-2028.

The City of Ellsworth is working to raise awareness for Cans for Kids, a donations-funded initiative to help local children in need. Donate your cans and bottles at the City Transfer Station or contact the General Assistance Office to coordinate a donation at City Hall. Proceeds go to the Emergency Assistance Fund, which supports the Backpacks for Kids and Holiday Gifts programs.
