On Wednesday, February 15 at 2:00pm, the Wawenoc Chapter of the Maine Genealogical Society and the Belfast Free Library will be hosting a presentation from Rick Davis called “James Munyon: America’s Medicine Man,” in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library. This event is free and open to the public.

The 10th Annual Mountain View Youth Sport Winter Fest takes place on Saturday, February 18th from 5am to 5pm on Flander's Pond.  in Sullivan.   There'll be an ice fishing derby for all ages, ten dollars a ticket for each entry, with LOTS of door prizes available.  All Winterfest proceeds raise money to buy sports equipment for the Mountain View Youth Sports program.    

Chewonki will visit the Belfast Free Library on Friday, February 24th from 2-3 pm. With the help of participation and an animal ambassador, the presentation will teach about Fur, Feathers and Feet. The First Congregational Church of Ellsworth is hosting a roast pork dinner on Saturday, February 25th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.  $10.00 a person or $25.00 a family and children under 5 eat free. The church is located behind city hall on the corner of Church and State Streets and has accommodations for the handicapped from the State Street entrance. All ages are welcome at the Somesville Library for “STEM Saturdays”! Conduct free scienceexperiments in a program starting at 11 am. Kids under 8 should be accompanied by anadult. For more info, call 244-7404.

The Winter Harbor Music Festival invites you to a concert featuring flutist Alison Kiger andpianist Christopher Johnson, Friday night (3/3) at Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor. The musicstarts at 6pm. Tickets are 15-dollars, and you can get more information atWinterHarborMusicFestival.org.

The Franklin Veterans Club is holding an open mic night, Friday (3/3) from 7 to 10 pm.Musicians at all levels are invited to participate. There's no cover charge and the public iswelcome.
