Holiday Light Display in Ellsworth
Woodlawn Museum in Ellsworth is decked out for the holidays with their free (mostly solar) Holiday Light Display, sponsored by Darling's Auto Mall. You're invited to drive through from 4 to 9 each day Nov 25 through December 31st. The entire driveway along both sides and the lawn in front of the museum will be decorated with different light installations. Community Potluck in Surry
A community potluck at the Gatherings community center in Surry. Every 1st Friday at 5.30pm. Bring a homemade dish or drink to share while spending time with your neighbors, make new friends, catch up with old ones, and fill up on a variety of home cooked dishes. The 42nd annual Downtown Ellsworth Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Ellsworth Recreation Commission, takes place on Saturday, December 3rd. This year’s parade will has a NEW start time of 4:00 pm, in order to celebrate with lighted floats! Plus there is a new parade route. The Senior Class of Searsport District High School is holding a Festival of Trees in the school's cafetorium on Sat. December 10th from 9 to 5, and Sunday the 11th from 9 to noon. Tickets to win the decorated trees are one dollar for 1 ticket, three dollars for five tickets, and five dollars for ten tickets. Winners will be notified on the evening of the 11th.
