Midday Concert in Ellsworth
Ellsworth Community Music Institute's next Midday Concerts at the Moore Community Center takes place on Friday, November 4th at 1pm. The concert will feature Sophie Shao on cello and John Blacklow on piano. Admission is free to the public and masks are suggested. For more info, call 664-9258.

ArtWaves and the Wendell Gilley Museum are teaming up for a Fall Handworks Festival Nov. 5-16 on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Carve a butternut comfort bird or a greenwood spoon; explore advanced knitting techniques; learn Coptic bookbinding or ribbed basketmaking; weave a heart bundle; or make a stained glass suncatcher, a felted rug, or a cornhusk doll. The City of Ellsworth's Annual Food Drive is going on between now and November 16th. Bring your non-perishable food items to Ellsworth City Hall during regular business hours. Your donations go to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, and you get a chance to sign up for a drawing for a 25-dollar gift certificate to a local restaurant of your choice. For more info, call 669-6630.

The next meeting of the Searsport Historical Society is taking place on Tuesday, November 8th, 7pm at the Searsport United Methodist Church. Guest speaker is Ray Seamans whose presenting topic is pertaining to "Mechanic Hollow" which is the area on Route 1, east of the center of Searsport. This meeting is free and open to the public.
