A baked bean supper is held the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Brown Hall Community Center in Bucksport.  The next supper is scheduled for November 19th at 5pm with take out available from 4 to 6.  Cost is $10 per person for adults and $5 for children.  

Game Night happens every Sunday at 6.30pm at The Gatherings in Surry. Play modern board games together like Settlers of Catan, Dominion, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride and many more. $2/person. For more info call 385-7694 or visit www.surrygatherings.org

After a two-year hiatus, the Community Thanksgiving Dinner is back at YWCA MDI in Bar Harbor. Food is served at 5 pm on Monday, November 21st. Reservations are required at 288-5008.  

$2 Community Yoga happens every Monday at 5.30pm and every Saturday at 9am at The Gatherings in Surry. Fun and affordable yoga for all ages. The Pie Ladies are back!   The P.E.O. Pie Ladies are holding their 12th Annual Fall Pie Sale outside of Reny's in Ellsworth on Wednesday, November 23rd from 9 to noon, or while supplies last.  If you'd like to order in advance, call Susan at 565-3335 by November 19th.  Pie prices range from $20 to $25 and pre-ordered pies should be picked up by 10:30 am.  All proceeds benefit the P.E.O. scholarship fund.

On Friday morning, November 25th, Woodlawn Museum in Ellsworth is holding a 1.5 mile fun run/walk "Turkey Trot" on the grounds of the museum. It's a great way to burn off the calories from that big Thanksgiving dinner! Registration begins at 8:30am. Cost is $50 for a family, $20 per adult and $10 for kids under 16. They tell us that the trails are wet, so wear shoes that okay to get muddy.

Woodlawn Museum in Ellsworth is decked out for the holidays with their free (mostly solar) Holiday Light Display, sponsored by Darling's Auto Mall.  You're invited to drive through from 4 to 9 each day Nov 25 through December 31st.  The entire driveway along both sides and the lawn in front of the museum will be decorated with different light installations.  Donations are welcome and everything raised goes to support the Woodlawn grounds.   See details at woodlawn museum - dot org…

The second annual Whitneyville Public Library Holiday Craft Fair happens Saturday, November 26th from 9 to 2 at the Lee Pellon Center in Machias. Featured will be homemade candy, lunch, crafts, and more.
