A Chinese Auction and bake sale will be held at the Franklin Veterans Club on Sat Aug 20 from 1 to 3 pm. You don't need to be present to win. This event is to benefit Andrew Rumill from Franklin to be featured in this years Time Square Video Presentation in New York City hosted by the National Down Syndrome Society. Ellsworth Elks Club Lodge #2743 at 317 High Street in Ellsworth is holding a 21 and over Redneck BBQ, Membership Drive, Cornhole Tournament and 5pm Pig Roast on Saturday August 20th. Registration begins at 9am, with the tournament beginning at 10. Cost is $40 to pre-register and $50 the day of the event. All proceeds benefit Elks charities.

The Commission works to preserve the architectural and environmental heritage of the City. The most recent project is the Museum in the Streets display.
