Each Wednesday this summer from 5:30 to 7 at 74 Main Street in Bucksport, Bucksport's Public Safety Professionals of police, fire and EMS are again serving up hamburgers, hotdogs and homemade pie. This event is sponsored and benefits "Bucksport's Wednesday on Main."

Friday, August 12th, Flash in the Pans Steel Drum Band is playing in concert in Milbridge starting at 6:30 at the Milbridge Town Marina. The Franklin Veterans Club is holding a benefit breakfast at the Franklin Vets Club this Saturday, August 13th from from 7-10am. It is a FULL breakfast with pancakes, bacon, sausage, cinnamon French toast, homemade donuts, scrambled eggs, & quiche. Cost is $10 per person. All net proceeds will go directly to a long time club volunteer who needs assistance paying for cancer treatments.
