Bottle Drive in Gouldsboro and Winter Harbor
The Peninsula School Parent Teacher Club is holding a bottle drive on Saturday, June 4, in Gouldsboro and Winter Harbor. Please have your returnables out on the curb (and bagged up) by 8 a.m. Proceeds from the drive will benefit the Peninsula School and its students.

Saturday, June 4 from 9 to noon, there will be a bottle drive and car wash at Darlings Chevrolet , 121 Downeast Highway in Ellsworth to support the Boy Scouts Order of the Arrow. Your donations will help pay for their trip to the NOAC conference in Tennessee this July.

On June 4, the Vettes of Coastal Maine will host a Corvette display of all eight generations of Corvettes at the Bar Harbor Athletic Field from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. Cars will be in attendance from Nova Scotia to Florida.

The Ellsworth Garden Club is holding its annual Pink Tulip Festival and Garden Sale on Saturday June 4th from 9 to 2 at Donald Little Park on State St in Ellsworth. Stock up on fresh grown annuals, perennials, herbs and veggies plus get planting tips from Garden Club members. Proceeds benefit the Pink Tulip Project and Ellsworth Garden Club. The Searsport United Methodist Church is holding its monthly Take Out Turkey Dinner on Saturday, June 11th from 4 to 6. Pick up meals in the church vestry. Cost is $10 per person which includes homemade pie for dessert. No reservations are necessary.

An in-person grief support group begins this Thursday, June 16. The location of the group will be Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 215 Main Street, Ellsworth. The group will run at least 8 sessions, weekly from 2PM to 3:30PM. There is no charge for attendance, but a reservation must be made by calling 667-8325. All are welcome.
