Bass Harbor Lobster Boat Races Plus More

June 21 - June 23

The 15th annual Bass Harbor Lobster Boat Races will be a 3-day event from Friday June 21- Sunday June 23 called the ‘Backside Blast’.  There will be a lobster feed at Archie’s Lobster on Friday the 21st from 4-7pm where we will host a Pollock Frolic relay race starting at 6pm.  On Saturday, the 22nd Gordius Garage will celebrate their 70th anniversary with a pig roast, live music and car show starting at 10am.  Sunday the 23rd will be the lobster boat races at the Bernard town dock.  The Tremont Consolidated School PTO will host breakfast from 7:30-9:30am, registration for the race from 8-9am, blessing of the fleet from the Sunbeam around 9:45am and the races start at 10am.  Immediately following the races will be a cookout hosted by the Grindle family, awards ceremony along with face painting and fun kid’s activities from the TCS PTO.  There will be an open Mic hosted by Bud Williams from 12:30-3:30pm and the Darlings ice cream truck will be there from 12-2pm.
