The Ellsworth Public Library is holding a free online “Big Read” event called, “Fiddleheads 101 with Dave Fuller” on Saturday, April 29th from 2 to 3pm. You’ll learn about the science and sustainability, as well as safe cooking tips, for one of Maine’s beloved spring greens: ostrich fern fiddleheads! (Dave Fuller is the Agriculture and Non-Timber Forest Products Professional for the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Franklin County.)
