“The Fire of ’47” Film in Bar Harbor

The Bar Harbor Historical Society’s new film “The Fire of ’47” is slated to premiere at the Criterion on Sunday, Oct 1 at 2 pm. One of the Bar Harbor Fire Department’s oldest fire engines, a 1933 Seagraves pumper that helped battle the conflagration in 1947, will be on display outside the theater. Tickets for the premiere are now on sale at the Bar Harbor Historical Society Museum on Ledgelawn Avenue in Bar Harbor from 1-4 pm Monday through Friday, or at the Swan Agency Sotheby’s Realty office at 43 Cottage St., Monday through Friday from 9 to 4 pm. There will be tickets available at the Criterion on Oct 1. The price for this gala public viewing of the documentary is $10 downstairs, $15 for the balcony.
