The Mount Desert Islander is sponsoring The Gift of Reading on Friday, Dec 1, from 5:30-7 pm at the MDI YMCA on Park Street in Bar Harbor. Children are invited to come pick out a free book to take home and visit with Santa.  For more information, call 288-0556.
