The theater troupes of Deer Isle-Stonington High School and George Stevens Academy are getting together for one night only for an evening of shows at the Reach Performing Arts Center in Deer Isle. On Friday, March 2 starting at 6:30 pm, each school will present the production they will bring to their respective Maine Regional Drama Festival competitions the following week. GSA will perform the absurd comedy “Dogg’s Hamlet” and DISHS will perform the tragedy “Medea.” “Medea” does contain adult situations and violence and may not be appropriate for young audiences. All tickets for the evening are at the door by donation. Proceeds from the show will be split between the two schools to offset costs associated with competing in the drama festival.
