On Sat May 19 from 1 to 4 pm, join the fun and celebrate spring with a field day full of family activities and events at the Schoodic Institute in Winter Harbor. Junior Ranger and International Migratory Bird Day are geared toward families and children ages 12 and under who are accompanied by an adult. Explore the forest and be a salamander sleuth, learn about woodland and wetland animals, try your hand as an NPS firefighter and enjoy art activities and games. Start at Eliot Hall near the campus water tower. The event will be held rain or shine. Admission is free. For more information, call 288-1310.
