The Shaw Institute’s 2018 lecture series continues on Wednesday, June 27 with “Caveat Emptor! Cell Phones, Brain Cancer, PCBs and Diabetes” at 55 Main Street in Blue Hill. David Carpenter MD will be the speaker. There is news on two public health threats: Phone radiation exposure is now linked to two kinds of cancer when exposed to cell phones, Wi-Fi, cell towers and mobile phones and imply living near a waste site containing PCBs increases the risk of diabetes.
