“Local Hero” Film at Blue Hill Public Library

The Friends of the Blue Hill Public Library Film Series presents “Local Hero” (1983) on Thursday, June 14, at 7 pm. All films in the series are shown free of charge in the library’s Howard Room.  “Local Hero” is a comedy-drama film about an American oil company representative who is sent to the fictional village of Ferness on the west coast of Scotland to purchase the town and surrounding property for his company.  For more information, call the library at 374-5515.
