On Friday, July 13, Dr. Penelope Houghton of Acadia Naturopathic Medical Clinic will present a workshop titled “Holistic Methods to Promote Sleep” from 11 to noon at the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center in Ellsworth. Houghton will explore how sleep can be affected by pain, side effects of treatments and the anxieties about the impact of illness on our lives and the importance of sleep in helping to cope and heal.
