Events for June 24, 2019

The MDI Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a bake sale on Monday, June 24, from 9 to 1 pm outside of the First National Bank in Bar Harbor. Your support will help the Auxiliary with its goal to fund equipment items for the hospital. For more information, contact Carly Ancona at 801-5046.  

Variable Winds members bring their whistles and play lively traditional music together on alternating Mondays from noon-1 pm at Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor.  The next gathering is on June 24.  All whistles are welcome, from flutes to recorders.  For more information, call 963-2569 or visit www.schoodicartsforall.org.  

The Beatrix Farrand Society’s 2019 season of programs at Garland Farm in Bar Harbor opens on Monday, June 24, at 4 pm with “Selecting Fruit Trees for an Edible Landscape.”  Admission is $10 for members and $20 for nonmembers. The 2019 Acadia Trad Festival has a concert on Monday June 24 at 7 pm with “The Ties That Bind” at College of the Atlantic’s Gates Auditorium in Bar Harbor. Tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for children ages 3-12 and free for children under 3.  For more information, visit www.acadiatradschool.org.
